Rosie Lee Lockhart Tillery, affectionately known as Mama Rose, 88, of Jackson, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Mama Rose was born on Wednesday, August 18, 1937, in Chesnee, South Carolina to the late Clarence and Lorelle Lockhart. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Scotty Tillery; daughter, Darlene Tillery Faulk; and mother-in-law, Elsie Tillery. Mama Rose attended Second Baptist Church and Towaliga Baptist Church. Sewing and gardening were some of her favorite things to do. She will be deeply missed.

Mama Rose is survived by her special nephews, Chris Carpenter, Jeff Carpenter; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Margaret Lockhart; sister, Rubie Randolph; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A funeral service for Mrs. Rose Tillery will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jay Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Pepperton Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. prior to the service at Sherrell-Westbury Funeral Home.
