He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Rachel Haywood Parker; son, Roy Kenneth Parker; grandson, Rancin Hatcher; brothers, Harold Parker, C.W. After returning home, Roy went to work for Carter's Mill in Barnesville where he served for over 40 years. He was also a loyal member to the Barnesville chapter of the American Legion. Roy will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather.

Roy is survived by his son, Cary Parker (Alice); grandchildren, Greg Parker (Tasha), and Cindy Skinner Hatcher; great grandchildren, Kayse Skinner, Nicholas Parker, Brooke Parker, and Harmony Elliott; great-great grandchild, Kamden Adams; and a host of extended family also survive.
