Mr. Roy Dennis Wheeler, age 77, of Barnesville passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Wheeler was a native of Fulton County but made his home here in Lamar County for a number of years. He was born to the late William Alpha Wheeler and to the late Mrs. Ella Mae Prince Wheeler. Mr. Wheeler worked in Pest Control as an Exterminator for a number of years for Orkin in both Florida and Georgia, and worked with Terminix after moving to Georgia. Mr. Wheeler also worked as a Security Guard in Griffin for several years. Mr. Wheeler also served in the Georgia National Guard, where he received an Honorable Discharge.

Survivors include- Son Mr. Roy D. Wheeler Jr. of Palm Harbor, Florida ; 2 Daughters - Debra Jane Wheeler of St. Petersburg Florida ; & Linda S. Brooks (Wheeler) of Barnesville GA ; 5 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren; and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Roy Dennis Wheeler will be conducted on Friday May 14, 2010 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday morning from 11 O'Clock until the service hour.
