Russell Jake Harper, Sr., age 53, of Dallas, GA passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 in Dallas. He was born on Wednesday, March 1, 1961 in Douglas, GA to the late George Jake Harper and the late Alleene Taylor Harper. Russell was an Paramedic/Firefighter in Butts County. He served in the United States Army.

Russell is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Rusty and Elizabeth Harper of Dallas, and Jon Harper of Mableton; grandchildren, Jacob Harper, Shelby Harper, and Hunter Harper; great-grandchild, Andraya Harper; sister, Johnnie Faye Steverson of Jackson; nieces, Donna, Diedrea, Dana, and Direnda.

Funeral services for Russell Harper will be conducted at 5:30 P.M. Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend George Cromer and Reverend Jack Pickle officiating.
