Mr. Russell Renfroe, age 94, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin, Georgia.

Russell was born on Friday, August 29, 1930, in Kite, Johnson County, Georgia to the late William Irvin Renfroe and Minnie Stephens Renfroe.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Deluth Haynes, Katie Thompson, Eloise Yancey, Flossie Darsey, and Iris Becker, brothers: Hughea Renfroe, Herbert Renfroe, and Loren Chattie Renfroe, nieces: Erline Lawson, Angie Coleman, and Judy Adams and nephews: Johnny Haynes, Ronnie Thompson, Rodney Renfroe, Stevie Renfroe, and Irvin Renfroe.

He is survived by nieces: Sarah Gunter, Linda Clark, Lori Banks, Lynn Morton, Wynell Abney, Mary Faye Camp, Sheryl Rhodes, Diane Darsey, Robin Holder, and Sharon Gable and nephews: Charles Renfroe, Autry Renfroe, Rickey Renfroe, Joel Yancey, Kenneth Darsey, Dennis Darsey, Jerry Darsey, and William Becker.

Russell enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching Westerns.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953.

A graveside service for Mr. Renfroe will be held at Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
