Mrs. Ruth Kirkpatrick Swords-Dorrough, age 87, of Titusville, FL, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab in FL. She was born April 8, 1924 in Atlanta, GA to the late Harry Leon and Ouida Lurline Dale Kirkpatrick. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Dorrough is survived by three daughters, Louise Brodeur, of Cocoa, FL, Ginger Craven, of Barnesville, GA, and Dot Noble, of Stockbridge; 10 grandchildren, Tammy Dorsey, Louie Dorsey, Josh Hutton, Michael Hutton, Jody Swords, Chad Swords, Darlene Poncelet, Jerry Powell, Joseph Powell and Jake Powell; several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Lamar M. Swords and Edsel Dorrough, and a son, Marty Swords. Memorial services for Mrs. Ruth Dorrough will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Rex United Methodist Church in Rex, GA with Bro. John Williams officiating.
