Mr. Luther "Sanford" Loy, age 82, of Barnesville passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 in a Barnesville Healthcare Facility. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, he had lived in Barnesville for most of his life. Son of the late Mr. Luther Moss Loy and the late Mrs. Effie Burchell Loy, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lethia Irvin Loy. Mr. Loy Retired as a Knitter with The William Carter Company after 47 years of service, and was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.

Survivors include: His Daughter - Sandra Loy Steiger (& Pete) of Andover, MN ; 1 Sister-in-law - Betty I. Goddard of Barnesville ; 1 Nephew - Ron Goddard ; 3 Grandchildren ; & 6 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Sanford Loy will be conducted from the Graveside on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 12 Noon in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 10:00am until the service hour.

The family has asked, that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions be made to the Donor's Favorite Charity.
