Mrs. Shirley Ann Bass Bonner, age 74, of Jackson, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at Monroe County Hospital. Shirley was born on Monday, October 13, 1941 in Macon to the late Jack Grady Bass, Sr. and the late Lennie Irene Harrelson Bass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar Bonner; son, Jack Grady Bonner; and sister, Jeanette Marie Bass Wooten.

Shirley is survived by her children, Charles Robert Bonner and Vickie Bartlett, and Lucy Irene Shannon; grandchildren, Christopher Matthew Shannon and Sarah Irene Shannon; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack Grady Bass, Jr., Buster and Wanda Bass; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Bonner will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Carter Hill Cemetery in Forsyth.
