Mrs. Shirley Darlene English McDonald, age 68, of Flovilla, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin, GA.  She was born on Sunday, September 18, 1949 in Hawkinsville, GA to the late Floyd English and Faye Rucker Harper English.  Shirley was of Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Jo Girndt; brothers, Frank English and Roy English.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 33 years, David McDonald; children, Chip Girndt, Brad McDonald, Derek McDonald, Mia Foster; grandchildren, Jonathan Jackson, Zachary Pratt, Jennie Farrow, Kelsey McDonald; great-grandchildren, Eason, Lexi, Cash, Gatson, Seth; mother, Faye Harper; brothers, Stanley English(Fannie), Jeff Simpson; sisters, Anne Ingraham, Robin English, Elizabeth Cormmack;; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mrs. Shirley McDonald will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Reverend Cameron Shiflett officiating.
