Sidney Erle Crockarell, age 87, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 21, 1926 in Dover, TN to the late Ivan Crockarell and the late Mayme Ester Cherry Crockarell. Mr. Crockarell was a member of Towaliga Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Mr. Crockarell is survived by his wife, Joyce Antley Crockarell, of Jackson, GA; children, Erle Crockarell, of Clarksville, TN; Donald Sauls, of Burlington, NC, Gail Steppe, of High Point, NC, Ronald Crockarell, of Indian Mound, TN; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Bailey Crockarell, of Jackson, GA; several nieces and nephews

Funeral services for Sidney Crockarell will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Towaliga Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Sanders and Dr. Bruce Calhoun officiating. He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Towaliga Baptist Church Cemetery.
