Mrs. Tamara Jacobs Bell, age 59, of Barnesville passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. She was born to the late Mr. George Jacobs and to the late Mrs. Joan Ficher Jacobs. A native of Bethesda, Maryland she had made her home here in Lamar County for a number of years. She was a member of the GA State Bar Association. She was also a Mid GA Police Instructor, a member of the Judicial Qualification Committee for the State of Georgia, and was also a member of the Big Sisters Program, as well as many other community organizations. She was one of the first female attorneys to serve here in Lamar County.

Survivors include: Husband - Dennis Bell of Barnesville ; 2 Sons - Charles Bell & Ross Bell, both of Barnesville ; 1 Daughter - April Botsford of Barnesville ; 2 Brothers - Jeremy Jacobs (& Debbie) & Douglas Jacobs (& Stephanie) ; 2 Nieces Julia Jacobs & Leha Jacobs ; 1 Nephew - Josh Jacobs, and a number of other close family and friends.
