Mrs. Tami Lynn Hardy Whitaker, age 61, of Jackson, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Tami was born Monday, October 12, 1964, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Randy Hardy and Cherry Moore Thomas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson. Tami was a former special needs teacher with Stark Elementary and loved children. She enjoyed planning parties, going to the beach, and loved the lake. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren. Tami will be deeply missed.

Tami is survived by her loving husband, David Whitaker; children, Brittany and Eric Moore, Barrett and Parker Whitaker, Bailyn and Nathan Berg; grandchildren, Caroline Moore, Cannon Moore, Indie Berg, Chandler Whitaker, Everett Berg; mother, Cherry Moore Thomas (Marvin); brother and sister-in-law, Lance and Selina Richards.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Tami Whitaker will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 120 Lake Shore Drive, Jackson, Georgia 30233.
