Terry Phillip King, age 77, of Jackson, GA, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes. He was born on July 19, 1936 in Jackson, GA to the late Charles Dodson King and the late Lillian May Pye King Ridgeway. Terry was a firefighter for the City of Jackson Fire Department with over 20 years of service. He enjoyed making a cross of three nails and dogwood to share the story of God's love with friends and strangers. Terry is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Brannon King, and daughter, Tina Polk.

Terry is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and Ricky Haralson, Lynn and Jason Ellis; grandchildren, Samantha Clark, Christian McMurray, Rebecca Wilson, Kara Haralson, Trent Ellis, Dalton Ellis, Seth Bolton, Evan Lynch, Robbie Lynch; great-grandchildren, Rylee Clark, Isaac Clark, Kyler Clark, and Tray Martin; sister, Cherry King; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Gloria King, Randall and Gail King, Danny King, Mike and Christy King, Doug and Wanda King; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Terry King will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bobby Hooks officiating. Interment will be at Worthville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
