Mrs. Thelma Irene Compton Sauley, age 78, of Barnesville, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at an Upson County healthcare facility. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Samuel Russell Compton and the late Mrs. Fannie Lou Griffin Compton. Mrs. Sauley was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Charles Jackson Sauley, five brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Sauley was a Methods Analyst for the William Carter Company and was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Sauley also attended the First Baptist Church of Barnesville.

Survivors include: three Sisters – Ruby Jackson of Forsyth, Allie Boggs (James) of Barnesville and Dorothy Hambrick of Barnesville; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Thelma Irene Compton Sauley will be conducted Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 10 O'clock in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Garth Forster and Dr. Jeff Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m.
