Mrs. Tommie Raye Pitts Winzell, age 86, of Barnesville, formerly of Griffin, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019, at Harborview Nursing Home.

Raye was born on Monday, March 20, 1933 to the late Owen Pitts and the late Amelia Loetta Penley Pitts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Winzell and brother, Earnest Pitts. She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching television.

Raye is survived by her daughter, Diane Coggin; son, Terry Winzell; grandchildren, Stephanie and Mike Williams and Meredith Medina; brother, Richard "Bubba" Pitts; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Raye Winzell will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A private entombment will follow in Oak Hill Mausoleum.
