Mr. Troy Daniel "Danny" Hammond, age 70, of Griffin, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Christian City Nursing Home. He was born on Friday, December 21, 1945 in Griffin, GA to the late Troy G. Hammond and the late Mary Sherrell Hammond. Danny enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his fur babies and attending his grandchildren's ball games. Danny was a former softball coach. He was a member of West Sunny Side Community Church. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Freddie Fuller.

Danny is survived by his wife Brenda Hammond; children, Troy Hammond, Jr. and Gina, Mike Hammond, Steve Hammond, David Hammond and Hope, Julie Hammond, and Becky White; 16 grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Joyce Burns, Dianne Fuller McGahee, Rhonda Evans, and Wanda Sherrell; brother, Wilbur Ross; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Danny Hammond will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 3, 2016 at West Sunny Side Community Church with Pastor Hugh Smith and Pastor Doug Cone officiating. Mr. Hammond will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
