Mrs. Vergn Carolyn Davis Hess, age 81, of Barnesville, GA. passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in Spalding County.

Mrs. Hess was born on April 23, 1927 in Westbrook, Maine to the late Mr. Clifford Wesley Davis and the late Mrs. Georgia Christina Brackett Davis. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Mr. Leland Cook Hess and a Brother, Donald Davis of Maine. Mrs. Hess was a member of the First Assembly of God in Griffin, GA.

She is survived by her Sons: Carl Seay and Wife, Yvonne of Danielsville, GA., John Seay and Wife, Janie of Forest Park, GA., Jerry Seay and Life Partner, Mike Lufriu of Rockledge, FL.; Daughter: Carol Pitts and Husband, Gordon of Atlanta, GA.; Brothers: Blaine Davis and Wife, Gloria of Maine, Arnold Davis and Wife, Muriel of Arizona, Carl Davis and Wife, Doreen of N.C.; Sisters: Ruth Carver and June Helstrom of Lakeland, FL. and Ann Perez of Penn.; 7 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, Special Friends: John and Carol Levengood of Polk City, FL.; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Vergn Carolyn Davis Hess will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 between the hours of 6 and 8 PM, also in Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
