Mrs. Verna B. Turner, age 68, of Barnesville, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Turner was the daughter of the late Mr. John Floyd Brooks and the late Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Stamey Brooks. She was a Retired Healthcare Technician for Southern Regional Medical Center and loved to spend time fishing.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her Son: Robert Turner, and his wife, Cathy ; Her Daughters: Marie Pridmore, and her husband, Jack, Elizabeth Oliver, Karen Smith, and her husband, Garland, Vikki Donovan, and her husband, Donald ; 6 Grandsons ; 3 Grand-Daughters ; and 9 Great Grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Verna B. Turner will be conducted Friday, June 5, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church in Barnesville at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Verna B. Hansard Memorial Fund at United Bank.
