Mr. Vernon Glenn "Tex" McDaniel, age 79, of Barnesville passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. Mr. McDaniel was born in Jacksonville, TX to the late Mr. Leo McDaniel and the late Mrs. Ruth Dowling Burton. He was a Diesel Mechanic for Mack Trucks in Atlanta and attended Holy Ground Ministries.

Survivors include his Wife - Yvonne McDaniel of Barnesville ; a Son – Dennis Glenn McDaniel (& Lisa Oxley) of Fayetteville ; a Daughter – Sherry Dawn McDaniel Able (& Steve) of Canton ; a Sister – Nell Clark (& A.B.) of Hemphill, TX ; 3 Grandchildren – Jessica Denise McDaniel of Fayetteville ; Matthew Austin Able (& Sara Castleberry) of Dawsonville ; & Christopher Brandon Able of Canton ; a Great Grandchild – Brantley Arlow Able of Dawsonville ; & a number of Nieces and Nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Vernon Glenn "Tex" McDaniel will be conducted Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 2 O' Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 12 Noon until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that Memorial Contributions be made to the Masonic Children's Home of Georgia, 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211; or to a Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607
