Ms. Vira Louise Lester, age 80, of Jackson, GA, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019, at Westbury Medical Care Home.  Vira was born Sunday, October 9, 1938, in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late Carl Francis Lester, Jr. and the late Anna Marie Anderson Lester.  She loved to yard sale.  Vira also loved her flowers and jewelry.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Carlene Overstreet.

Vira is survived by her children and their spouses, Randolph (Andy) and Patricia Long, Charles T. and Theresa Long, Jerry Carl and Jerrie Dawn Long, Terry Long Medley and Terry Medley; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Frances Greene; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Ms. Vira Lester will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, April 26, 2019 at Jackson First Baptist Church.  Pastor Keith Joseph and Mr. Rudy Mangham will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the church Friday for one hour prior to the service.  Please dress casual.  Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.sherrell-westburyfuneralhome.com
