Mr. Von Wilson Knight, Age 87 of Barnesville passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. He was a native of Sutton, West Virginia, but made his home in Lamar County for a number of years. He was born to the late Mr. Walter Lee Knight and to the late Mrs. Litha Francis Kelly Knight. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Margie Compton Knight, and also by 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Mr. Knight was Retired as a Security Guard for Aldora Mills. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. Mr. Knight was also a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters - Pearl Kemp (& John) ; & Betty Patterson (& Leonard) ; 3 Grandchildren Tonya Chapman, Kim Jones, & Ginger Cannon ; 1 Step-Grandson - Keith Patterson ; 6 Great Grandchildren; 4 Step Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; Several Brothers-in-law, Sister-in-law, Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Von Wilson Knight will be conducted on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 3 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Friday Evening, March 11, 2011 from 6pm until 8pm.
