Mr. James "Wayne" Evans, age 67, of Milner passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 in an Atlanta Healthcare Facility. Born in Spalding County to the late Mr. Joe Evans and the late Mrs. Nellie Vale Love Evans, he lived in Milner all of his life. Mr. Evans was Self-employed as a Cabinet Maker. He was an avid storyteller, and an outstanding entertainer. Mr. Evans was a Milner City Councilman, and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Milner.

Mr. Evans is survived by his wife ~ Dr. Elaine Evans of Milner, One son ~ Bryan (& Julie) Evans of Barnesville, One Daughter ~ Christina (& Travis) Warner of Hampton, Seven Grandchildren, Three Sisters ~ Gayle Brown of Milner, Lynda (& Alton) Kendrick of Barnesville, & Nancy (& Tony) Jackson of Barnesville, & numerous nieces, nephews, & other relatives.

Funeral Services for Mr. Wayne Evans will be conducted Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 2 O'Clock in the Milner Baptist Church with the Rev. Franklin Gibson & Dr. Aubrey Sheats officiating. Interment will follow in the Milner Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 6pm until 8pm.
