Mr. Wilbert Marion "Bill" Brannon, 91, of Barnesville, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Heritage Inn Nursing Home.

Mr. Brannon was born Sunday, September 11, 1927 in Raleigh, North Carolina to the late Boyce Brannon and the late Mildred Hill Brannon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Retha Nell Cain Brannon; grandson, Kerry Dan York; son-in-law, Charlie York. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. Bill loved to hunt and fish and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Fran York; son & daughter-in-law, Skipper & Sally Brannon; 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Catherine Brock; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mr. Bill Brannon will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, December 7, 2018, at Lamar Memory Gardens with Pastor David Dawson officiating. Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery no later than 3:50 P.M.
