Mr. William Alvin Bishop, age 62, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in a Griffin Healthcare Facility. A native of Barnesville, he was the son of the late Mr. William Edward Bishop and the late Mrs. Delores Faye Nelson Bishop, and was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marie Maxwell & Betty Jean Smith. He was a member of The New Beginnings Christian Center in Hampton. Mr. Bishop had been a Roofing Contractor with White's Roofing.

Survivors include: 2 Daughters – Laura Ann McKay (& Nathan) of Cleveland ; & Susan Bradshaw of Barnesville ; 4 Grandchildren – Justin Archer, Jessica Gabriel, Felicia Smith, & Blake Bradshaw ; 1 Sister – Sandra Dobek (& Edward) of Williamson ; 1 Brother – Freddy Bishop (& Stacey) of Jackson ; 2 Brothers-in-law – Danny Maxwell & Tommy Smith ; & Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. William Alvin Bishop will be conducted Friday, July 1, 2016 at 3 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Franklin Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 7pm until 9pm.
