Mr. William James Rooks, age 88, of Barnesville passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 in a Barnesville Healthcare Facility. A native of LaGrange, he was the son of the late Mr. Ernest Floyd Rooks and the late Mrs. Alice Geneva Turner Rooks, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Inez Briscoe Rooks. Mr. Rooks Retired from Central Georgia Railroad as a Signal Maintainer, and also Retired from the Bleachery at The William Carter Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville.

Survivors include: 4 Sons - Floyd (& Billy) Rooks of Oglethorpe, Richard (& Gail) Rooks of Barnesville, Neil (& Josie) Rooks of Barnesville, & Wade Rooks of Yatesville ; Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. William James Rooks will be conducted Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 2 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 1:00pm until the service hour.
