Mr. Willie Lee "Billy" Thompson, age 91, of Jackson, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Georgia.  Billy was born on Saturday, September 25, 1926 in Jackson, Georgia to the late Harvey Robert Thompson and the late Essie Mae Hardy Thompson. Billy was of Baptist faith. He enjoyed gardening and cooking for a crowd. Billy was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy.

Billy is survived by his wife, Lucille Thompson; children, Kay and Jamie Morgan of Griffin, Ronnie Thompson of Jackson, Sheila and Tim Todd of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Andy, Brooke, Tripp, Jaime Kay, Will, Robert, Katlynn, Megan, Julia; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Guy Thompson; sisters, Agnes Strickland, Shirley Pittman; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Mr. Billy Thompson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Sherrell Memorial Chapel with Mr. Rudy Mangham officiating.  Interment will follow in Jackson City Cemetery.
