Mr. Willis Gilbert Couey age 90, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Willis was born on Tuesday, July 5, 1934, in Dublin, Georgia to the late Lonnie L. Couey and the late Edna Harlin Gilbert Couey. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristen Couey Burger-Patterson, granddaughter, Amber Bankston sisters, Lois, Clarice, Wilda.

Willis served in the United States Army for 3.5 years and served another 2.5 years in the United States Army Reserves. He loved taking care of his family farm, where he had many cows, goats, and chickens, and he was always making sure he took care of all of them. He was a loving husband, father, being a Papa was a blessing to him, his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Willis is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pacita Couey; daughters, Dina Bray, Eva Dalisay (John Smith); sons, Larry Tacbianan (Christy), Eusebio Tacbianan, Jr. (Perlene), Volther Tacbianan (Jennifer); grandchildren, Bai Jabidah (Ryan Fisher), Edrian Dalisay, Andrei Dalisay, Chrislar Tacbianan, Kylle Tacbianan, Arianne Tacbianan, Alexa Tacbianan, Abigail Tacbianan, Brandi Bagby, Abigail Adams; great-grandchild, Anya Imogen Fisher.

Funeral Service for Mr. Willis Gilbert Couey will be held Saturday June 21, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral, with Pastor Allen Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday June 20, 2025, from 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home.
