Mrs. Zelma "Ruth" Peyton Copeland, age 66, of Milner passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Copeland was a native of Bibb County, but had lived in Lamar County for most of her life. Daughter of the late Mr. Robert Frances Peyton and the late Mrs. Georgia Blanche Hutchinson Peyton, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Wilbert Copeland, Sr.. She was Retired as the owner / operator of Ruth's Café and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Barnesville.

Survivors include her Son - James Wilbert "Jami" Copeland, Jr. (& Jasmine) of Milner ; Her Brother - Albert Peyton (& Kay Deighton) of Ocala, FL ; Her Sister - Sarah (& Bruce) Smith of Bradenton, FL ; 1 Grand Daughter on the way -Julienne Jade Copeland of Milner ; A Number of Nieces, Nephews, and Other Relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Copeland will be conducted Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11 O'Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Pastor John Burnette officiating. Interment will be held Friday afternoon at 3:30pm in the Corinth Methodist Church Cemetery

in Adrian, GA. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Thursday evening (8-6-09) from 6pm until 8pm.
